"This is the weapon of the enemy. We do not need it. We will not use it."
It's my personal belief that AI could have been ethically trained and better researched before being launched into the public, and it would have become a useful tool. But it's not—it's a wasteful, ecology-wrecking plagiarism machine trained on copyrighted work that's been stealing jobs from creatives, and real creativity from the artists, writers, and musicians we could have had in the future.
None of my work uses AI, and don't expect me to treat you kindly if you come to me with AI-generated material. A book "written" by AI is not a book until a real writer passes their eyes through it. AI-generated art cannot be fixed.
In simple words, if you come to me with AI slop, I will charge you the full price. There's no revising to AI—I'll rewrite it. AI "art" needs to be redone to have soul.
You will not get away with paying me less just because you're helping to kill the planet.
Period.
